The Willamette Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club had its origins in the late 1980’s when local Studebaker enthusiasts thought it would be a good idea to form a club. The Chapter then became an affiliate of the national Studebaker Drivers Club. Willamette Chapter was formed and it continues strong to this day.
The Club covers a geographic area roughly from Eugene north to Salem including Corvallis, Albany, Lebanon and Linn, Benton and Polk Counties and surrounding rural areas in the Willamette Valley. However, members are welcome no matter where they live.
Currently, the club has 43 members representing 23 households and 45 Studebaker cars and trucks. The primary purpose of the club is to promote all things Studebaker. Whether you are interested in owning a Studebaker, seeking mechanical help or advice, looking for parts, or simply interested in the history of a unique American car company, you have come to the right place.
The club holds four to six events/tours every year. The club is supported through member dues and proceeds from the annual car show in August. Car show proceeds are donated annually to ABC House Children’s Advocacy, and the Auto Technology Programs at Linn-Benton and Chemeketa Community Colleges.
Willamette Chapter also publishes the club newsletter, S’Coupe Express, bi-monthly.
